Mission
- Administer the conference and meeting needs of the National Catholic Committee on Scouting (NCCS)
Objectives
- The Conference and Meetings Committee (the Committee) supports the mission of the NCCS by securing locations, support and programs for the Biennial Conferences and the meetings of the Standing Committees and Executive Board. See listing at bottom of page.
- When called upon, it also secures locations and support for the meetings of the Executive Committee.
- It also guides the conferences and annual meeting to secure access, reasonable costs, and appropriate programs to bring about good representation, attendance and dialogue with the membership of the NCCS
Annual Efforts
- Identify and recommend host cities suitable for annual NCCS meetings (Biennial Conference or Executive Board/Standing Committee Meetings)
- Identify and recommend hotel and meeting facilities suitable for annual NCCS meetings
- Negotiate facility contracts for NCCS meetings at approved facilities
- Plan conference schedules and space requirements in coordination with the Marketing and Public Relations Committee
- Oversee conference operations at host meeting sites
Special Effort
- Set clear selection criteria for annual meetings as policy

There remains the possibility that the frame of a meetings/conference agenda may have to be moved earlier in the week (Tuesday-Friday) in any given year if availability of hotel properties who return proposals to us and can accommodate our meeting needs are unable to offer us the weekend dates.
